  15.        This release of license_dev contains new version v8.1b
  16.        FLEXlm libraries from Globetrotter Software.  Use of these
  17.        libraries is optional: the older v6.1g libraries are still
  18.        the default.  If you want to use the new libraries include
  19.        -_I/_u_s_r/_i_n_c_l_u_d_e/_l_m_s_g_i_8 on our compile lines, and change
  20.        -_l_l_m_s_g_i to -_l_l_m_s_g_i_8 or -_l_l_m_s_g_i_8__r -_l_p_t_h_r_e_a_d_s depending on
  21.        whether you want to use the new thread-safe heartbeat
  22.        support.

  25.        any floating license server must also be version 8.1 or
  26.        newer.
